From June 8-10, 2023, the Fifth Open International Forum on Public Procurement was held on the topic: "Modern trends and regional development of public procurement", dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the Training Center of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The opening ceremony of the Fifth International Forum was attended by Deputy Finance Minister U.I.Kalenderov; Chairman of the Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic D.E.Tolonov; Procurement Manager of the World Bank Simon B. Chirva; USAID Project Management Specialist in the Kyrgyz Republic Chnara Mamatova; Regional Manager for Central Asia of Crown Agents (Great Britain) Kokareva L.M.; Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in Issyk-Kul region A.Zh.Sultanbayeva.

The total number of participants was 90 people (offline) and 9 people (online) from seven countries.

The following tasks were implemented in the work of the forum:

- The analysis of the international experience of sustainable procurement is carried out, examples of their legal regulation are considered;

- The professional community discussed the issue of professionalization of the public procurement system;

- A brief overview of changes and novelties of the public procurement system of Kyrgyzstan is presented;

- The role of prioritization of sustainable (green) procurement has been updated;

-The importance of increasing the knowledge and potential of specialists in the field of public procurement of the Kyrgyz Republic and many others was noted.

At the end of the forum, all speakers were given thank-you lists, and certificates of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic were issued to participants.
